  • Our Pastor
    Our Pastor Bro. Ron Harvey has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Pastoral Ministries from Mid-South Bible College and a Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree from Cecil C. Humphries School of Law at the University of Memphis. He practiced law for 22 years and was a Professor of Mass Media Law at the University of Memphis for 10 years. He has been our Pastor since January 1, 2012.

Bro.  Ron Harvey, Pastor

RonBro. Ron Harvey has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Pastoral Ministries from Mid-South Bible College (now Crichton College), one year of Seminary Training at Capital Bible Seminary in Lanham, Maryland and a Juris Doctor Degree from Cecil C. Humphrey’s School of Law in Memphis, Tennessee.

Bro. Ron began a law practice in 1993 and practiced in the Memphis, Shelby County area for 18 years before accepting a call to pastor Grace Baptist Church on January 1, 2012. Bro. Ron is a great expository preacher.

Ron and wife Sonya have been members of Grace Baptist Church since September 2009 and Ron was an integral part of the teaching ministry before being called as the pastor. Bro. Ron has begun a new study on the book of Colossians. He has completed the books of Hebrews, Galatians, John and Philippians and they are in book form available for anyone to purchase.  Sonya teaches children in Sunday School and is active in a visitation ministry. She also is one of our choir members.

Bro. Mark McNair, Teacher/Deacon

Mark McNairMark McNair has a Bachelor Degree in Operations Analysis from the United States Naval Academy. He is presently employed as a commercial airline pilot by Federal Express Corporation.

Mark has been a member of Grace Baptist Church for 20 years. He is the lead adult Bible Study teacher. At the present he is teaching “A Biblical Worldview”. Mark is a very respected leader in the church with strong bible knowledge and wisdom.

Mark is married to Jeannine McNair and they have two adult sons.  Jeannine is also active in the ministry of the church, and teaches Sunday School. She is also active in visiting the sick and posting announcements and prayer requests to the church.

Bro. Jack Henry Ray, Deacon / Lay Minister

JackJack Henry Ray was born February, 1930 in Houston, Mississippi, where he graduated from Houston High School. He was ordained a deacon at Franklin Road Baptist Church in 1953. He served as a deacon at Woodlawn Terrace Baptist Church. In 2005 he and his wife Bernice joined Grace Baptist Church and serves as our senior deacon. Jack is also a lay minister and is active in a Prison Ministry at Whiteville, Tennessee where he teaches at the chapel service each Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. He is a member of the church choir and leads a devotional each Sunday morning before Sunday School.

Bro. Jack worked at Memphis Light Gas and Water Division for 36 years as a supervisor before retiring. He attended Memphis State University during this time and achieved a Bachelor’s Degree in Science and Education. Bro. Jack has been a volunteer at Methodist North Hospital since 1997 and recently was honored with The Alice Warren Achievement for his 17 years of volunteer service with 13,800 hours.

In August of 2002 he married Mrs. Bernice Baker. He inherited a ready-made family of three adult children, three adult grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Bro. Dana K. Baker, Deacon   

Dana was born in Memphis, TN November 16,  1960 to Grady and Bernice Baker and  raised in Memphis, Tennessee. He was saved at the age of eight. He graduated from Frayser Baptist Academy in Memphis, Tennessee and attended Southwest Technical Institute where he studied Civil Engineering. Bro. Dana is employed by Hoveround as an ATS Mobility Specialist. His love for people makes him a great witness for God and Grace Baptist church.

Dana and his wife Kim joined Grace Baptist Church in 2005. Brother Dana was ordained a deacon of the church in 2006. In addition to being a deacon, he is also the Treasurer of the church and a member of the choir. He is much revered here at Grace Baptist Church and takes care of anything that needs attention around the Church. Kim is a lover of flowers and keeps the outside of our church building looking beautiful.

Bro. Dana and Kim have one son, Casey, and one grandson, Palmer.

Bro. Dana lives by the Bible verse, “Beloved, let us love one another….” , I John 4: 7-10. On Bro. Dana’s tomb stone it will read, “Neither is there salvation in any other.” Acts 4:12.
